Here is some general information about the RISD Pre-Kindergarten program. To be eligible for the district Pre-Kindergarten Program a child must be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1 of the upcoming school year. The child is eligible for enrollment in the Pre-K program if he/she meets any or all of the following criteria:
Which Schools Have Pre-Kindergarten? If an RISD student qualifies for Pre-Kindergarten, he/she may attend any of these schools. Transportation is not provided. Aikin
Elementary How do I enroll my child? Each school chooses their Pre-K enrollment date. You will need to call the school of your choice to find out specifics on enrollment. Most schools begin enrollment in March or April for the following school year. When enrolling, parents must bring proof of residency, the child’s birth certificate, social security card, and immunization records to the school.
