The Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber recently held their inaugural La Cima Awards Latina Leadership Luncheon and invited eight Latina seniors from RISD AVID classes to attend. AT&T’s Director of External Affairs, Martha Rocha, invited the young ladies to attend this luncheon and sponsored a $1,000 table for the girls at the event.
These amazing seniors celebrated with the La Cima Emerging Leader, Veronica Torres, the La Cima Volunteer Leader, Sandy Salinas, and the La Cima Advocacy Leader, Marissa Anchia who were honored at the luncheon.
In addition, to the girls’ surprise, when they arrived they were greeted by Channel 8 News anchor Gloria Campos, who was the mistress of ceremonies. Ms. Campos took time to provide advice to the young ladies before and after the luncheon.
Thank you AT&T for inspiring and helping reward our students for their accomplishments.
