| RISD offers competitive salaries for the North Texas area. In addition to our stated annual salaries, the following supplements or stipends are offered for 2009-10:
Secondary Math, Science, Languages other than English - $2,000 annual supplement for classroom teachers in grades 7 through 12 in these areas
Elementary and Secondary Special Education - $2,000 annual supplement for classroom teachers in areas of PPCD, Behavioral and Developmental Programs
Bilingual - $3500 annual supplement for fully-certified bilingual teachers teaching in an elementary bilingual classroom
Critical Needs Area - $2,000 one-time stipend in the area of Technology Education
